Renewal and Recertification

The CCPH credential must be recertified every five years. Recertification must occur by January 1 of the fifth year following your most recent certification.  Example: if you were certified anytime before or during 2015 you were due to recertify by January 1, 2020.  Because of COVID-19, those who were scheduled to recertify during 2020 have until December 31, 2021 to do so.

You must accumulate a total of 75 continuing competence points over the five-year recertification period. Continuing competence examples and their credit values are at the bottom of this document.

 

We recommend that you submit evidence of completion of continuing competence activities on a yearly basis rather than waiting until the end of the five-year period.
