CDC’s New Global Health Communication Resource

Different cultures have different beliefs, values, and customs and different ways of communicating. No matter your culture or where you are in the world, everyone should have the opportunity to attain the highest level of health. A new CDC resource, Global Public Health Equity Guiding Principles for Communication, encourages you to adapt and apply these principles when communicating with global partners or when communicating about a global public health portfolio. Since different words, gestures, images, ideas, and relationships can have different meanings in different countries, consult Global Public Health Equity Guiding Principles for Communication to help you recognize and bridge cultural differences. Enhance the effectiveness of your oral and written communication.
