Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer

The Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer was published last week. The key findings from this report are: cancer death rates continued to decline among men, women, children, adolescents, and young adults in every major racial and ethnic group in the U.S. from 2015 to 2019; the steepest declines were seen in lung cancer and melanoma among both men and women; the report also finds that the overall cancer incidence, or new cases of cancer, remained stable for men and children from 2014 to 2018, but increased slightly for women, adolescents, and young adults. Read more in the report about the racial and ethnic disparities that exist for many cancer sites.
