Wednesday: EPIC Webinar – Communicating Public Health Emergency Messaging

Join CDC’s EPIC team on Wednesday, June 7, from 2:00-3:00 ET (11:00-12:00 PT) to hear how the California and Los Angeles County Departments of Public Health used effective communication practices to overcome barriers and provide fair access to information. This webinar will be available in English and Spanish. Closed captioning will be available. Low-income communities, communities of color, and members of LGBTQIA+ communities are some of the groups that often face greater risks during emergencies. Barriers to accessing resources and information are part of the problem. Communication efforts that take barriers into consideration, and are culturally responsive, are key parts of the solution.
