June is Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month
CDC and the Alzheimer’s Association have created the Healthy Brain Initiative’s (HBI) State and Local Public Health Partnerships to Address Dementia: The 2018-2023 Road Map. It is designed to focus the public health response to growing and future impacts of Alzheimer’s and other dementias. With 25 actions, public health leaders can promote brain health, better care for people with cognitive impairment, and increase attention to caregivers. Memory often changes as people grow older but memory loss that disrupts daily life is not a typical part of aging. People with one or more of these 10 warning signs should see a doctor to find the cause.
