Navigating Vaccinations This Fall and Winter
While we don’t know what exactly will happen this fall and winter, CDC expects respiratory pathogens, including influenza, COVID-19, and RSV to circulate again. As we prepare for the 2023-2024 respiratory disease season, for the first time, we have vaccines that can provide life-saving protection against three viral respiratory diseases. These are influenza vaccines, COVID-19 vaccines and a newly recommended respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine.
CDC has adopted the 2023-2024 ACIP recommendations for the prevention of influenza through yearly vaccination for everyone 6 months and older in the US. Plus, CDC recommends everyone stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines for their age group.
