During the 2022-2023 flu season, vaccination helped prevent flu-related illnesses, emergency department visits, and hospitalizations. Getting a yearly flu vaccine is the first and best way to protect against flu and its potentially serious complications. Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine each year.
