Nursing Workforce is Becoming More Diverse

The latest federal data reveals a positive trend in the increasing diversity of America's nursing workforce over the past 15 years, though underrepresentation persists, particularly among Black and Hispanic nurses. Despite gains, Black and Hispanic nurses remain underrepresented compared to the overall population.

It's imperative for healthcare organizations to prioritize sustained efforts in recruiting and retaining nurses of color to further diversify the field and address ongoing disparities in healthcare delivery.
