CDC Announces “Think. Test. Treat TB.” – A Campaign to Raise Awareness of Latent TB Infection
The CDC has launched “Think. Test. Treat TB.” – the inaugural national communications campaign aimed at bolstering testing and treatment for latent tuberculosis (TB) infection in the U.S. With an estimated 13 million individuals living with latent TB infection nationwide, the campaign highlights the imperative of expanding testing and treatment efforts to prevent the development of TB disease.
The initiative seeks to dispel the misconception that TB is no longer a concern and underscores the importance of addressing TB as a public health priority to foster healthier communities and promote health equity. The campaign offers free multilingual resources including digital and print materials, social media content, patient and provider education tools, and a partner toolkit, accessible nationwide.
