Coca-Cola Will Roll Out Cane Sugar Version of Namesake Soda in the U.S. This Fall

Coca-Cola will introduce a cane sugar–sweetened version of its namesake soda in the U.S. this fall, citing consumer demand for more options. The announcement follows President Trump’s public call for the use of “REAL Cane Sugar,” and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s criticism of high-fructose corn syrup, which he links to obesity and chronic disease.
