
New KFF Poll Tracks Public Concern about Food Additives and Pesticides
A new KFF Health Tracking Poll found broad bipartisan concern about food safety and corporate influence in health policy, extending beyond supporters of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement.
Three-quarters of U.S. adults said there is insufficient regulation of chemical additives in food, while 64% said the same about agricultural pesticides. Even after hearing that stricter regulation could increase food prices, majorities still favored additional oversight.
Trust in regulatory agencies remains limited, with 40% expressing confidence in the CDC and 36% in both the FDA and EPA to act independently. Public trust in pharmaceutical, food, and agricultural companies was also consistently low. Read the article From KFF here.
