Weekly Pediatric COVID-19 Infections Increasing

For the second consecutive week, new COVID-19 infection rates among children in the U.S. have seen a notable increase, according to a new report. Last week, 37,000 additional child COVID-19 cases were reported, an increase of about 43% from two weeks ago. The jump in infections follows weeks of steady declines, and marks the first increase since January. In the Northeast, infection rates are at their highest level in eight weeks, while the Midwest is reporting its highest proportion of new cases since the end of February.
