Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus Drug Company Provides Generic Medications at Affordable Prices

In January, billionaire Mark Cuban launched Cost Plus Drug Company, an online pharmacy claiming to offer lower prescription drug prices. In a recent report published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, researchers claimed that Medicare could save $3.6 billion per year if it purchased drugs through Cuban's pharmacy. In a press release, the company said it can provide savings to customers because it is registered as a pharmaceutical wholesaler, allowing it to bypass "outrageous markups."
