Harnessing Harvard’s Poll Data to Rebuild Trust in Public Health
People’s trust in public health agencies got tested during the COVID-19 pandemic. In a February to March 2021 survey of 1,305 people — PUBLIC’S PERSPECTIVE ON THE UNITED STATES PUBLIC HEALTH SYSTEM — the Harvard Opinion Research Program (HORP) measured the public’s trust with a survey conducted in collaboration with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The survey reveals the level of trust the American people placed in public health agencies during the COVID pandemic.
